.CLUB Registry To Auction Premium .Club Domain Names at the Upcoming RightOfTheDot Auction

.CLUB Registry, the company behind .CLUB extension ,announced that it is offering some premium .CLUB domain names ,including Fight.club, Wine.club and Weed.club.

 

All the domain names will be put off for auction at the upcoming RightOfTheDot auction,part of the Namescon,2015 conference.

The auction will be held January 13,2015 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas and is part of the RightOfTheDot Premium Live and Online Auctions, that will be held at the NamesCon conference.

Some of the premium .CLUB domain names included in the auction are:

Weed.club

Match.club

Wine.club

Tequila.club

MileHigh.club

Glee.club

Fans.club

Chess.club

Advertising.club

Birthday.club

All the domain names included in the auction has a different reserve range. Wine.club has a $100,001 – $250,000 reserve range and Chess.club has a $10,001 – $25,000 reserve range.

 

345.com Domain Name Sells for $800,000

The domain name 345.com was recently sold for a whopping $800,000 by MostWantedDomains.

MostWantedDomains.com sold the domain name 345.com to a Chinese buyer.

According to whois records, the domain name was created in May,2002.At the time of writing this  article the domain name resolves to a page full of ads.

Congratulations to both the seller and the buyer.

Only Nine More Days to Apply for .Vlaanderen and .Brussels Domain Names

There are only nine days left to apply for the .Vlaanderen and .Brussels domain name . Anyone can apply for .Vlaanderen and .Brussels domain names until January 15,2015 with no restrictions.

“Have you already applied to your registrar for the domain name you want? Anyone can apply for .vlaanderen and .brussels domain names until 15 January 2015, with no restrictions.  That also includes popular and generic names.

During what’s called the ‘Landrush’ phase, we will be gathering all of the applications. This means that everyone has the same chance of snaring their favourite .vlaanderen or .brussels domain name. Then, on 15 January (at the end of the Landrush phase), we will look at how many applications there are for each domain name.

If you are the only person to ask for a particular domain name, that name will automatically be allocated to you via the registrar through whom you made your application.

If you have applied for a popular name, like most generic names, you will probably not be the only person asking for it.  With these popular domain names, we will be holding an auction so that when the outcome is known, the highest bidder will be able to use that particular domain name.

How does this auction work?

We will be calling on the expertise of an external auction partner – Pool.com – to handle the auction process for us. We will give Pool.com a list of the domain names in question, along with the contact details of the applicants for those names. Pool.com will then invite you by e-mail to activate your account and place a bid for the domain name you want. Read more about how the auction procedure works.

If you have placed the highest bid, you will be notified by another e-mail from Pool.com. Once you have paid the amount that you bid, the domain name will automatically be registered for you via your registrar.

If you are not the highest bidder, check the WHOIS function at our website to see which domain name you can still register after 20 January. That’s the date on which registrations are opened up to everyone and domain names will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to applicants.”

.XYZ – The first new gTLD To Pass 750,000 Registrations

.XYZ is the first new gTLDs to pass the 750,000 mark. According to ntldstats, .XYZ accounts for 20,66% of all new gTLD registrations.

 

At the time of writing this article, there are 760,412 .XYZ domain name registered.

Only five new gTLDs have over 100,000 registrations :

.XYZ – 760,412 Registrations
.CLUB – 160,586 Registrations
.Berlin – 155,235 Registrations
.?? (xn--ses554g) – 103,202 Registrations
.Wang – 100,187 Registrations

Only 12 new gTLDs have over 50,000, while only 23 new gTLDs have over 30,000 registrations.

According to ntldstats.com ,there are 3,724,971 new gTLDs registered at the time of writing this article.
