Pro.Flowers Domain Name Sells for $50,000

Uniregistry’s CEO, Frank Schilling, announced recently that the company sold the domain name Pro.Flowers for $50,000.

Pro.Flowers was sold to FTD and transferred on April 10,2015.

According to whois records, the domain name was first created in February,2015.

At the time of writing this article, the domain name does not resolve to a website.

Congratulations to both the seller and the buyer.

ICANN Selects Eurid to develop DNS Study in the Middle East and adjoining Countries

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has recently selected Eurid, the company behind .EU extension, to develop DNS Study in the Middle East and adjoining conutries.

“We are delighted to announce that the .eu registry, following the submission of a proposal, has signed an agreement with ICANN to conduct a study on the domain name industry in the Middle East and Adjoining Countries (MEAC Region).

The research has, as its main objective, to detect and explain both the strong and weaker points of the industry ecosystem within the region and to establish suggestions on ways to improve it.

The initiative was a direct product of the ICANN Middle East Engagement Strategy. The final report of the study is scheduled for October 2015.
