TrafficZ Shuts Down on December 31,2014
Thought Convergence announced recently that its parking service, TrafficZ will be shutting down for good on December 31,2014.
Thought Convergence had a bad year. This year, the company sold Aftermarket.com to Igloo.com and Agreed Escrow to Escrow.com.
Thought Convergence founded the parking service TrafficZ in 2002 and it was a very popular domain name parking platform.
Here is the email sent out by Thought Convergence to announced TrafficZ will be shutting down :
“As you no doubt have heard by now, we recently announced the sales of our Aftermarket domain marketplace and our Agreed online escrow platform. In parallel with those sales, we will be discontinuing the TrafficZ domain parking and monetization service as of December 31, 2014.
In order to facilitate a smooth and seamless transition for you, our valued clients, we recommend that you explore alternative monetization providers and options for your domain assets. Many of our friends in the industry provide excellent domain management and monetization solutions, so we’re confident that you’ll find a suitable partner in no time.
Regardless of what you decide, though, please make sure to update your nameservers by 12:00 AM PST on next Wednesday, December 31, 2014, after which time we will no longer be serving ads from our upstream providers.”
Avatar.com Domain Name Finally Acquired by Twentieth Century Fox
The domain name Avatar.com is now owned by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.
According to whois records, the domain name was first created 24 years ago, in 1990.The domain name appeaes to have sold two years ago, in 2012.
At the time of writing this article, the domain name redirects to AvatarMovie.com.
The price paid by Twentieth Century Fox for the domain name was not disclosed.
