There are now more than 790,000 active .РФ domain names,according to statistics on the Coordination Center for TLD RU,the .RU registry website.As of today there are 797.563 .РФ domain names registered and the number is increasingly rapidly .

Two years ago,on May 12,2010,the Coordination Center for TLD .RU became the administrator of the new cyrilic domain name .РФ . On November 11,2010 domain names registration in domain .РФ became accessible for all comers.

.РФ surprised everybody when,in less than a week since .РФ was opened for general registration,more than 500,000 .РФ domains have been registered . More than 240,000 .РФ domains were registered on the first day ,making .РФ a big surprise both for the Russians and the global internet community .

Now, the IDN TLD .РФ outran Czech Republic’s domain .CZ and is on the 15th place by the number of domains among other European national domain names .
