For those who have applied to ICANN for a generic Top Level Domain, the must have ticket this week is for the organisations Prioritisation Draw, set to be held in Los Angeles on 17 December.
The draw is to assign priority numbers to all new gTLD applications. Each application will be assigned a randomly-drawn priority number. These priority numbers will be used to determine the order in which initial evaluation results are released. Only those Applicants who purchase a ticket will be able to participate in the Draw.
Tickets are on sale until 17 December up until around two hours before the draw commences on 17 December 2012 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport at 13:00 local time.
Results of the Draw will be announced on the day of the Draw and the results will be posted on ICANN’s website at gtldresult.icann.org/application-result/applicationstatus within 24 hours of the end of the Draw.
And for those who cannot attend, there will also be a live stream of the draw at newgtlds.icann.org

Sedo is hosting these days its monthly GreatDomains Auction .The auction features 308 domain names,out of which 154 already received bids .
So far 34 of the 308 domains have met their reserves .The highest domain name to have met its reserve is Webmaster.netat 7,999 EUR.
IK.com leads the list with a $130,000 bid bid but that’s bellow the reserve .Another domain name attracting attention is Reconnect.com at $20,000,although its reserve of up to $50,000 hasn’t been met.

Nominet announced recently that it has appointed Eleanor Bradley,the former Director of Operations for Nominet ,to the role of Chief Operating Office (COO).
The company also announced that Eleanor Bradley has also joined the Nominet Board.
