Donuts entered EAP general availability today for five other new gTLDs : .Coffee, .Florist, .House , .International and .Solar.
EAP (Early Acces Registrations) are available in the first seven days of a gTLD’s general availability.EAP starts today at 16:00 UTC and ends in a week at 16:00 UTC.
Donuts will open gTLDs almost each week for most of the year.
Organizations, individuals and businesses that are interested in registering a new gTLD can register a domain name on a first-come ,first served non-restricted basis.

Domain Name Association Elects 5 New Board Members
[news release] With the election of five new Directors, the Domain Name Association (DNA), has transitioned from the interim board established in 2013 to one representing the full membership of the Internet domain industry’s only global trade association. The 12-person board is charged with providing leadership and advancing the association’s mission to educate the public about the expansion of domain names.
The newly elected Directors are:
- Philipp Grabensee, Chairman of the Board, Afilias Limited
- Bob Wiegand, Senior Vice President, Web.com
- Jeff Neuman, VP, Registry Services, Neustar, Inc.
- Stacey King, Senior Corporate Counsel, Amazon
- Vladimir Shadrunov, Director of TLD Projects, Asiamix Digital Ltd.

The DNA was established in October 2013 by companies representing the broad Internet industry. Membership is open to organizations involved in all aspects of managing domain names, including top-level domain name registry operators, registrars, resellers, and registry service providers.
Organizations in the domain name industry are joining the DNA to collaborate with peers, share best practice and ensure mutual success through this period of major growth of the Internet. DNA members will be critical players in the next phase of the Internet, with the opportunity to contribute to important industry policy decisions. Afnic To Attend WorldHostingDays 2014 in Germany
Afnic, the company behind .FR domain extension, announced that it will attend the WorldHostingDays trade fair in Germany . The event will be held from April 1 to 3, 2014.

“A major international event, the WorldHostingDays trade fair in Germany plays host to ICT professionals from around the world from April 1 to 3, 2014.
For 3 days under the festival tent of Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, the 10th edition of WorldHostingDays plays host to the hosting industry. As a key player in the French namespace, Afnic will be present and pay host on its stand to customers, partners and visitors to promote both the .fr TLD, and the ccTLDs of the overseas territories, but also the projects for the new gTLDs and GeoTLDs which we are associated.
During the event, Cédric Michel-Flandrin, Key Account Manager at Afnic will host an information session on geo-TLDs.
