” Domain Holdings Group, Inc., an industry-leading brokerage firm specializing in the representation and acquisition of premium domain names, today announced the super premium domain name Wealth.com is now exclusively for sale by its brokerage team.
“Wealth.com is the ultimate brand for anyone in the financial industry” said Alan Dunn, SVP of Sales And Acquisitions. “In the United States alone there is over $20 Trillion in retirement accounts and wealth is the ultimate goal for almost anyone working today”
The Global Wealth Management Market is estimated to be over $101 Trillion dollars with over 30% of this market in the United States. According to Wealth-X, almost 200,000 families worldwide were classified in 2013 as Ultra High Net Worth Individuals representing over $27 Trillion in cumulative wealth.
The opportunity to own Wealth.com may come with a significant asking price but for many brands this one-time cost is insignificant over the lifetime of a company. “Some companies have spent tens of millions of dollars on branding but will still never have the brand authority that comes with owning Wealth.com” said Michael McConville, a Senior Premium Domain Broker at Domain Holdings.
Domain names like Wealth.com consistently sell for millions of dollars as online advertising expenditures continue to increase year over year. In 2014 total digital ad sales are expected to top over $135 Billion representing almost a 50% increase since 2010.
Wealth.com is listed exclusively for sale on its own, and has only had one owner since its original registration back in 1994 (20 years ago).

.NYC Ready To Go!
General Availability for .nyc (New York City) domains commences at 15:00 UTC on 8 October.
The gTLD is only available to New York City businesses and organisations with a New York City address and individuals with a primary residence in the city. It is not even possible to contract for a virtual office space or other virtual address in the City of New York according to the registry’s Nexus policy. One needs a physical street address in New York City.
According to nTLDstats.com, there are over 6,000 domains registered during .nyc’s Sunrise and Landrush periods. This compares favourably to .london that launched its GA with 7,703 domains registered, yet there were no eligibility restrictions for .london. Around six weeks later there are 44,800 .london domains registered.
.OVH Goes Bang! 50,000 Registrations In First Five Days Of GA
It’s possibly one of the strangest new gTLDs to take off. The new gTLD .ovh has over 50,000 registrations, making it the sixth most popular of the new gTLDs. And after only five days into its General Availability.
From 2 October onwards, to celebrate the General Availability launch of .ovh, OVH launched a promotional campaign for the registration of the first domain names under the gTLD.
What is .ovh? It’s French. And according to the gTLD’s website, it all started with an April fool’s day prank in 2009 when Octave Klaba (OVH founder and CEO) announced the creation of .ovh. In just a few hours, the company received over 22,000 requests to register .ovh domains. No more convincing was needed for OVH to make this dream a reality.
The telecoms company .ovh has what is described as a community of 700,000 customers and is the number one internet hosting provider in Europe, number three in the world.
The gTLD is also pushing that having a .ovh domain “means sharing the values of the group – expertise, close proximity to customers, innovation, passion, creativity and open-mindedness. We want to make domain names accessible to as many people as possible, and always at the best price. That’s why .ovh will be one of the most affordable extensions on the market.”
The gTLD has Afnic, registry for .fr, as their backend services and registry provider.
