.MOE – 1,070 Registrations on Day One Of General Availability

The .MOE Registry launched yesterday the new gTLD .Moe. On day one of general availability, there were only 1,070 .MOE registrations.

Altough the .MOE registry predicted just before .MOE entered general availability that the new gTLD would get 200 million domain name registrations, the first numbers are dissapointing.

The word “moe” is used to express cute things or things you love.The “moe” subculture is globally recognized for anime,comics, visual novels,gamers,manga,cosplayers and hobbyists, according to a press release sent out yesterday .

The new gTLD .MOE is open to the public for registrations on a first-come,first-served basis.
