The Coordination Center for TLD .RU,responsible for the administration of the .RU extension,is approaching 3.75 million domain registration under .RU .

.RU takes the 6th position in the global ranking of CCTLDs worldwide and make .RU a leader in terms of growth rates among the biggest CCTLDs .

Last year .RU got a little brother , IDN TLD .РФ. From then on the Internet in Russia started growing twice as fast: by approximately 1,000-1,500 new domain names daily in each domain zone.

The 3rd million .ru domain name was registered on the night of 24/25 September 2010 .
