The .PW Registry,has recently announced the auction of its single character domain names .The auction starts today and will end July 16,2013 .

The new domain names are available through NameJet .

Some of the domain names included in the auction might sell for $8,000 or more,considering that P.PW AND W.PW have already been sold for $8,000 each .U.pw was also sold recently for an undisclosed amount .

“U.pw is a terrific branding opportunity for us. It’s as short as you can get, easily recognizable, and really cool,” said Eli Parisier,CEO and co-founder .

Within the first three months since the start of its General Availability phase, .PW has seen over 250,000 domain names being registered .
