Prince of Wales first to Obtain a Second-level .UK Domain Name

Nominet, the .uk domain name registry, announced today that the Prince of Wales has become one of the first bodies to obtain a second-level .UK domain name.

Nominet has delegated royal.uk, princeofwales.uk, supremecourt.uk and jcpc.uk domain names to he Royal Household, the Household of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council respectively. 

These four .UK domain names are among the 69 second-level domains requested by the British government in response to our recent consultation to be agreed and delegated by Nominet.  

The final list of government names will be published by the end of February,2014, according to Nominet.
