New DNS Forum Event for ICANN in Kenya
Recently it has been announced a new date and place for the annual meetings regarding the DNS Forum held by The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which is to take place in Nairobi, Kenya.
This event is due to be organized during the 6th and 8th of July current year and it will be hosted by the Kenya Network Information Center (KENIC) at Sarova Panafric Hotel.
The previous similar meetings have taken place in Durban, South Africa, in 2013, followed by Abuja in Nigeria in 2014 and have been done with the help of The Internet Society (ISOC) and the Africa Top Level Domain Organization (AFTLD).
Currently such forums are the usual meeting place for ccTLD registries, registrars, new gTLD applicants, service providers, Internet companies and brand owners, and stakeholders from Africa and other parts of the world and allows for participants to discuss about ways to improve the domain names environment by exchanging ideas about their experiences so far. This event will now be organized with the help of The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology of Kenya.
