Parelli Natural Horsemanship is a people-training program focused on the study of horse behavior and horsemanship skills.

As a Pioneer, Parelli has registered parelli.horse and will help promote awareness of .horse both at equine events and online through relevant social media outlets. Pat Parelli, Founder of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, said:
“Parelli Natural Horsemanship’s goal – to raise the level of horsemanship worldwide for the benefit of horses and the people who love them – is proud to partner with the new .horse domain. It’s the perfect website address to further promote Parelli’s dedication to reach those passionate about the horse worldwide. It’s exciting to merge the horse industry, an inherently hands-on industry utilizing applied manual skills, with the cutting-edge of the digital marketplace. I look forward to using parelli.horse.”

The launch of the .horse top-level domain by registry operator Minds + Machines is part of a revolutionary restructuring of the Internet’s naming system by ICANN, the Internet’s governing body, as it looks to create choice, relevance, name availability and affordability to individuals, communities and businesses.

Antony Van Couvering, CEO of Minds + Machines, the registry operator for .horse, commented:
“.horse is part of a massive transformation of the Internet, and Pat Parelli understands the power of naming and wants to be part of it. With new top-level domains being supported by the likes of Amazon, Google, and L’Oréal, we look forward to a natural tipping point when we all will be adopting domain endings that identify us with a particular interest, location, or activity.”

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, there are more than 58 million horses in the world. The United States reports the highest total number of horses by far with over 9.5 million, whereas the number of horses in Europe, which counts up to 6 million, continues to grow at a 5% rate annually.
