According to Fusible.com,Microsoft has recently acquired the XBoxGold.com domain name from its previous owner.And the company didn’t stop there.Microsoft also acquired other XBoxGold-related domain names.

As the much awaited Microsoft event is approaching,Microsoft has quietly purchased many XBox Gold-related domain names ,including XBoxGold.cn,XBoxGold.eu,XBoxGold.in,XBoxGold.com.au,XBoxGold.asia and XBoxGold.es.

And that’s not all.The company has filed complaint with the National Arbitration Forum,asserting legal rights over XboxGold.org and XBox-Gold.com domain names.The cases are still waiting for compliance checks.However,it shouldn’t be a problem for Microsoft to obtain the disputed domain names considering the company owns many trademark registrations for “XBOX” all over the world.

Over the last couple of months,there were many speculative names for the next generation Xbox consoles,such as XBox Infinity,XBox 720 ,XBox 8 and XBox Durango.However,XBox Gold seems to be the name Microsoft has chosen for their next generation Xbox console.”XBox Gold” is also mentioned in Microsoft event agenda .
