ICANN: Markus Kummer Appointed to ICANN Board of Directors
The Non-Contracted Parties House ( NCPH ) of the Generic Names Supporting Organization ( GNSO ) has appointed Markus Kummer, Senior Vice President of the Internet Society ( ISOC ), to the ICANN Board of Directors. Kummer will fill the seat currently held by Bill Graham.
Previously, the 2014 Nominating Committee (NomCom) announced its selections for six key leadership positions within ICANN , including the Board’s representative from North America, Dr. Stephen Crocker, currently serving as Board Chair and Asha Hemrajani representing Asia/Australia/Pacific Islands
Kummer, along with the other selectees, will take his new position at the conclusion of ICANN ‘s Annual General Meeting, scheduled for 12-14 October 2014, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
