Final Adjustments for New TLDs Released by ICANN

At the present gTLD strings agreements for EMERCK, .HAMBURG and .BERLIN require that these names included in some international lists should be prevented from being registered at any levels.

The request came from RSEP and was addressed to ICANN in order to determine if there are any risks for a big level of competition or security problems. Until now apparently there is no risk of this kind.

As a result of these investigation results, it was established that material changes will be needed to the Registry of Agreements and that it will be done through an amendment.

As soon as this is approved and implemented, it will be possible that registrations for EMERCK, .HAMBURG and .BERLIN TLDs will be allowed at any level.
