Berlin, the first City to Have its Own TLD

Berlin is the world’s first city to have its own new TLD. Starting today, March 18,2014 ,berliners will be able to register their own .Berlin domain name.

It seems that .Berlin was one of the most popular TLDs in the pre-registration phase, according to InternetX. Only .Shop and .Web received more pre-registrations that .Berlin.

InterNetX founder and CMO, Hakan Ali, said that .Berlin will be a big hit :
