Another gTLD Launches. This Time .TECH Aimed At… Tech Industry

Radix have announced the launch of .tech with a goal of appealing to the more than 1.35 million tech startups, 18.2 million developers, 200,000 technology establishments and thousands of technology evangelists around the world. Radix will open pre-registrations at this year’s Collision Conference 2015.

Through the .tech Founders Programme, Radix is aiming at recognising select leaders from the tech industry to provide them special access and pricing to highly valuable Premium and Reserved names. Founders will be featured in .tech marketing campaigns, events and PR. With Radix’s .tech Membership Program, Radix aims to enable the .tech community with more than just a domain; members will receive discounts on products and/or services, access to industry-leading tech and startup conferences, invitations to networking events, and more.

“We are delighted to add .tech to our TLD portfolio. This new extension will represent the ever growing community of users who truly understand the power of the Internet and appreciate the value of a powerful identity online. As a techie at heart, this is an extension that I can personally relate and connect with the most,” says Bhavin Turakhia, CEO of Radix.

Following the Sunrise phase from 25 May to 24 July, which is exclusively for trademark holders, the Early Access Program from July 29 to August 4 gives priority access to .tech registrations at an additional fee before they become available to everyone on a first-come, first-serve basis from August 5. Users can pre-register now at www.nic.tech.

Radix will be exhibiting at the Collision Conference on May 5-6, 2015 in Downtown Las Vegas.
