.Paris Registry : Over 12,000 Sold Domain Names

.Paris Registry, the company behind .Paris extension, announced today that the new web address has already passed the 12,000 websites with a .paris extension.

Jean-Louis Missika,  assistant-mayor in Paris, said that these figures show that Paris is better than London and Tokyo in terms of domain name registrations during the same launch period.However, this is not very accurate. .London had more than 35,000 domain name registration on day one of general availability, while .Tokyo had 14,000 registrations a week after its launch.

The new gTLD .Paris is dedicated to local ecnonomic and businesses, associations, inhabitants or any other project related to Paris.
