X.UK Domain Name Is Up For Sale at £10 Million

X.UK domain name is now up for sale. HW Corporate Finance is brokering the deal and is hoping the domain name to sell for £10 million.

Online financial services entrepreneur, Simon Burgess said that X.UK is the rarest and most prestigious .UK domain name. There are only 36 single character .UK domains availabile , out of which 26 are letter and 10 numbers.

“It is the shortest web address in the world near impossible to ‘cyber squat’ – i.e. plagiarise and pass off as something else – and has a brand equity no other can match.  X has universal appeal and gravitas, just think of XBox, X-Men or the X Factor. No wonder PayPal owns x.com,” said Simon Burgess.

Simon Burgess had an automatic option to acquire the X.UK domain name because he already owned X.CO.UK.

Single character domain names are very popular and extremely valuable.This is why Simon Burgess hopes to sell the domain name for around £10 million.
