
The company has filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center,asserting legal rights over the disputed domain names.RIM owns many trademark registrations for the “Blackberry” mark.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark.Moreover,BlackBerry 10 is RIM’s next operating system for its Blackberry devices that are expected to be launched next year.
BlackBerry10.com domain names sends visitors to a Google 404 error page at the time of this story.
RIM managed to demonstrate that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain names in bad faith ,that the domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark and that the respondent doesn’t has rights over the disputed domains.
The Panel ordered the disputed domain names to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
