Oracle Wins Three Oracle-Related Domain Names in Arbitration

Oracle won another UDRP case seeking to obtain the transfer of three Oracle-related domains. The company submitted the complaint with the National Arbitration Forum on April 7,2015.

According to whois records, the domain names were first registered in May,1999.

The three disputed domain names are: oralce.com, orcale.com and oracel.com

Oracle owns many trademark registrations for the “Oracle” mark all over the world. Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark. Moreover, the company managed to demonstrate that the respondent has no rights or legitimate interest in the disputed domain names and that the respondent used the domain names in bad faith .

The arbitrator assigned to the case ruled in favor of Oracle, indicating that the company has full rights to the disputed domain names .The respondent’s loss was also partly due to the fact that he failed to submit a response in this proceeding ,accepting these way Oracle’s allegations as fact .
