.NG Domain Name Registrations Increased in January,2015

Mary Uduma, the President of Nigeria Internet Registration Association , announced recently that the registration number of .NG domain names increased in January,2015.

NiRA’s President said that in January,2015 there were 1,542 .NG domain names registered.Moreover, she added that 1,070 .NG domain names were renewed and only 41 domain names were transferred.

“For the month of January 2015, 1,542 domain names were registered, 1,070 domain names were renewed and 41 domain names were transferred. When compared to January 2014, where 1,425 registered, 811 renewed and 49 transferred, we can say there was a slight increase in domain name activities in January 2015,” said Mary Uduma.

The company wants to hit the 6th million milestone in the next five years.
